Album Art for "Fever Dreams"

I had the awesome opportunity to design the album art for Mia Borders, a singer-songwriter from New Orleans. "Fever Dreams" is her fifth studio album, which features a sonic blend of soul, r&b and pop rock. The idea of the cover developed from listening to the title track, "Fever Dreams" and hearing from Mia herself about her process of writing and putting this project together. I drew an iris with Copic markers, and combined it with essentially a stencil of her face with Photoshop. In keeping with the dream theme, I made a layer mask over the image using a starry sky.
